You receive a single confirmation with all your vouchers and documents ready to travel.

Which destination best suits my skill level?

If you're just starting out or looking for mellow trails with plenty of "flow" (wide greens and blues), destinations such as Grandvalira and Vallnord Pal-Arinsal (Andorra) are ideal. As a general rule, all bike parks have trails for every level and a sensible progression so you can improve naturally. If you're after demanding World Cup-level descents, double-jump lines and aggressive alpine terrain, you'll also find them in destinations such as Andorra and Canada. How many days do I need to make the most of a bike park?

Accepted Answer

For a first taste or a short trip close to home, a stay of 2 or 3 riding days is enough to get to know the main trails without excessive strain on your forearms and legs. For huge areas like Whistler, a stay of 7 to 10 days is recommended, alternating bike park, enduro and rest days. Plan at least one active rest day in between (a visit to lakes, a spa or gentle rides) to recharge.

When is the best time to go to the bike parks?

In Europe (Pyrenees and Alps), the usual season runs from mid-June to late September or October, with July and August being the months when all lifts are fully open. Whistler opens its lower zone in mid-May; the opening of the upper zone (Peak, with the Top of the World trail) depends on the weather conditions each year. If you want to ride in autumn, winter or spring, the Sierra de Guara is an ideal destination.

Can I fully customise the dates and services of my trip?

Yes. We don't work with fixed or inflexible packages. You can freely adjust the dates of your getaway, see the itemised cost of accommodation and Bike Passes for the days you want to ride, and add optional extras such as bike rental, guides or insurance.

What does an Accommodation + Bike Pass booking with BikeParkHolidays include?

Accepted Answer

Every Accommodation + Bike Pass booking includes: your stay and access to the trails. In addition, verified "Bike-Friendly" accommodation (with a locked or CCTV-monitored bike room, a repair stand and a low-pressure wash hose) guarantees a safe place to store your bike. Extras such as bike rental, insurance and guides are optional and clearly shown in the final breakdown.

Can I book just the accommodation or just the Bike Pass without other services?

Yes. With BikeParkHolidays you can set up your trip by booking only the accommodation and add other services such as lessons, insurance or a guide.

Can I travel with my own bike? What are the hotel bike rooms like?

Accepted Answer

Of course. All "Bike Friendly" accommodation offered by BPH meets our "Bike-Friendly Certification": it has lockable storage space, no access for outsiders, and the vast majority have individual anchor points for a lock. They also have a wash area and basic tools for day-to-day maintenance.

Is there a minimum number of people to travel? How does it work for clubs or companies?

Accepted Answer

There is NO minimum number of people to travel with us: you can book for 1 person, as a couple or with friends directly on our website with complete freedom. If you're part of a cycling club, MTB crew or company (from 10 people) and need end-to-end management (blocks of adjoining rooms with large-capacity bike storage, official Bike Passes and single invoicing), we offer a personalised service with tailor-made quotes. Our trips are never primarily guided: each rider rides the trails freely according to their level.

How does booking with BikeParkHolidays work?

Accepted Answer

1. Choose your destination and dates. 2. Select the available accommodation and the Bike Pass days you want. 3. Add any extras you like (bikes, protective gear, insurance, pets). 4. Enter the riders' details and send the booking request. 5. You receive a payment link and, once payment is made, your booking is confirmed within the following hours. You'll receive the booking voucher to check in at the hotel and to collect your Bike Passes directly without queuing.

When is a booking confirmed?

Your booking is confirmed within hours of payment. We'll let you know by email, along with your booking reference, the hotel details and the voucher for the Bike Passes you've booked.

What are the change and cancellation terms?

Accepted Answer

At BikeParkHolidays we apply the same policies as our providers: most accommodation and Bike Passes allow free cancellation or date changes up to 14 days before the start of the trip (except for special event conditions or explicitly stated non-refundable rates).

What happens if a provider has no availability for a selected date?

Accepted Answer

Our system updates the availability of hotel rooms and rental fleets in real time. In the exceptional case that a hotel or specific bike model is hit by last-minute overbooking with the local provider, we'll offer you an equivalent alternative or an immediate full refund for that service if it isn't to your liking.

What bike do I need for each type of riding?

• Downhill (DH): For pure downhill trails, big jumps and rough rock (200mm travel, dual-crown fork). • Enduro: The most versatile; perfect for natural trails, berms and medium-sized jumps (160-180mm travel, full suspension). • Trail / All-Mountain: Suited to green and blue trails and routes with pedalling (130-150mm). • E-MTB: Excellent for large alpine areas with technical climbs without wearing yourself out.

What gear and protection is compulsory and recommended?

Essentials: full-face helmet (a must on red and black trails and in jump zones), hard-shell or viscoelastic (D3O) knee pads, full-finger gloves and goggles/dust glasses. Highly recommended: body armour or back protector with elbow pads, tough technical trousers and flat-pedal shoes with grippy soles (Five Ten style).

What's the difference between hiring a local guide and booking a skills lesson?

A certified local guide shows you the best trails, makes the most of your lift time, takes you to the less crowded lines and shows you the best food stops. A skills lesson (coaching with a certified instructor) focuses on your riding: body position on the bike, effective braking, absorbing obstacles, berm cornering technique and safe take-off on jumps. If it's your first time at a bike park or on a mountain bike, we strongly recommend booking at least a 1 h skills lesson.

You get direct support in Spanish and English by phone, WhatsApp and email 7 days a week during bike park operating hours. If your bike breaks down, we put you straight in touch with our nearest partner workshop so you don't lose a minute of riding.
